The vision
Revelation Christian Church has acquired roughly 14 acres on South Foster Road. The purpose was never simply to construct square footage. It was to create a place the surrounding community can genuinely use.
Project 1 is a community center: a hub for families, children and youth, for celebrations and shared meals, for fellowship, worship and outreach. Community first, with Christ at the center.
A community center being built within the community it is intended to serve.
Why this community
The property sits among established and growing residential neighborhoods in southeast San Antonio. Thousands of families live within minutes of the site, yet there are few nearby places to gather, celebrate, or give their children something positive to do.

The vision is growing
We have expended $160,000 to date, with a remaining mortgage balance of $203,000. An additional $30,000 is committed to the architect for construction plans.

Approximately 14 acres on South Foster Road are already secured.

Current focus: Project 1
A community center of approximately 19,000 square feet, designed so one building can serve many needs across the week.
Community meals, celebrations, receptions and events that bring neighbors around a table.
A flexible hall with tables, seating and a stage, ready to support a wide range of community needs.
Positive, structured opportunities for young people to gather, grow and connect.
A nonprofit childcare component created to serve working families in the neighborhood.
Space for Sunday worship, Wednesday Bible study and special community gatherings.
Weddings, anniversaries, family gatherings and other good uses of a shared space.

Community impact

Somewhere close to home to gather, celebrate and build community.
Childcare and safe, positive environments for the youngest in the neighborhood.
Activities and mentorship now, with athletic programming planned for the future.
Community events, shared meals and real relationships between neighbors.
Sunday gatherings, Wednesday Bible study and special community services.
Relationships that introduce more people to the love of Christ.
Our mission
“Make disciples of Christ everywhere and always.”
Matthew 28:18–20
Serving our neighbors and making disciples are not two separate missions. When families share a meal, when a child is cared for, or when a teenager finds a place to belong, relationships begin. Those relationships are how people come to know Christ.

Leadership
Pastor Robert Douglas leads Revelation Christian Church and has carried this vision for South Foster Road for years. During that time, the land was acquired and the plans began.
His approach pairs ministry with stewardship: careful planning, development across the projects, and a commitment that what is built serves the community first and lasts for generations.
“We want to build something the whole community can use, and in doing so, introduce our neighbors to the love of Christ.”
Where we are today
Revelation Christian Church currently worships in rented space. We are grateful for the space that has served our congregation. The next chapter requires a permanent place designed for the community outreach we believe God is calling us to.
The land is already acquired. Plans are being developed. Project 1 lets us begin serving the neighborhood long before a sanctuary is ever built. What moves construction closer to reality now is community support.
